Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz scored his maiden grand prix at the end of a thrilling, incident-packed 2022 FIA Formula 1 British Grand Prix disrupted by red flags and safety cars and in which championship leading Red Bull driver Max Verstappen and title contending Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc both held the lead but finished off the podium. Red Bull’s Sergio Pérez recovered from an early collision to rise from last place to second and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton took the final podium place.
